The Dallas Area Historical Rose Society

Open a printable membership form

Begun in 1982, our group started meeting on an informal basis in various homes with 5-12 people attending. There are now over 250 members from 16 states and 8 foreign countries. Meetings are held monthly (except in December) at the Ridgewood Recreation Center, 6818 Fisher Road, Dallas, Texas. Our newsletter, The Yellow Rose, is published 10 times a year and there are open gardens and plant exchanges twice a year.

The DAHRS's ongoing goal is to continue the study of old garden roses and to spread the word of the joy to be had in once again placing the old roses in their rightful place in our landscapes and gardens, and in growing and keeping alive the wonderful roses known and enjoyed by our ancestors.
